Genesis broadens retail network with 26 new standalone facilities



EV availability expanded
to 37 states across country


(May 16, 2024) FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. — Genesis Motor America has announced the opening of 26 new standalone facilities across the United States, counting 35 dedicated retail facilities nationwide. Genesis EVs are also now available in 37 states with the expansion of electric vehicle sales to select retailers in Alabama, Kansas, Oregon, and Rhode Island.

Alfa Romeo announces final run of Quadrifoglio for the U.S.



(May 16, 2024) Alfa Romeo reveals the new 2024 Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio Super Sport limited special series, a final, commemorative chapter for the twin-turbo V-6 Quadrifoglio models in the United States.  Copies are limited globally to 275 units for Giulia and 175 for Stelvio — and in the U.S. to just 72 units for Giulia and 52 for Stelvio.

(May 15, 2024) STANTON, Tenn. — Ford’s BlueOval City campus in Stanton, Tenn., is taking shape as robotic training cells, conveyors, paint spray booths and stamping press lines are installed at the Tennessee Electric Vehicle Center assembly plant.  As the work in the plant progresses, Ford is prioritizing education, environmental protection and local engagement to help ensure West Tennessee residents benefit from the growth BlueOval City will bring.

Volvo's EV sales drop 65% in the first quarter in the U.S.



(May 15, 2024) Volvo Cars is all in on electric vehicles, vowing to go all-electric in 2030. Unfortunately for the brand, consumers in the world's two largest auto markets aren't as enthusiastic about its zero-emission offerings. U.S. sales of Volvo's battery-powered XC40 Recharge and C40 Recharge crossovers plummeted 65 percent in the first quarter to just 970 vehicles. According to Cox Automotive estimates, it was the largest year-over-year percentage decline in the luxury segment.

(May 14, 2024) Volkswagen of America has announced the price structure for the 2025 ID. Buzz, the electric reincarnation of the iconic Microbus. The ID. Buzz will be offered stateside in three trims — Pro S and Pro S Plus, along with a launch-only 1st Edition—with a 91 kWh battery and 282 horsepower for rear-wheel drive models; 4Motion all-wheel-drive models will have maximum horsepower of 335. Range and pricing will be announced closer to launch.

Subaru to team with Toyota on three new EV crossovers



(May 13, 2024) Subaru plans  to team with Toyota on three new all-electric crossovers it has planned through 2026 as the small-sized Japanese player tries to minimize its risk in an electric-vehicle market that is cooling off but still requires massive investment in new technology, according to Automotive News.
